The 14th Annual Dale Roberts Memorial Players Meeting - Sep 11th, 2020
The 14th Annual Dale Roberts Memorial
Players’ Meeting
Welcome to the Elephant & Castle’s
14th Annual Dale Roberts Memorial! As always, we’d like to start off by thanking our sponsors:
First and foremost, we'd like to thank our title sponsor, Elephant & Castle Fine Arms. The owner, Doug Bowen, would like everyone to know how much he appreciates the Dale Roberts Memorial, and the Roberts family. This has meant a lot to the disc golf community through the years. He also wished he could play, but unfortunately he is still battling and injury and felt like 2 rounds would be a little too much to soon. He sends his best to all who participates!
And of course our tour sponsors: Innova Champion Discs, Creator Designs, Fossa, Millenium Golf Discs, Discmania, Cyclebar Springfield East, 8Up, Fimco Steel, Discs Unlimited, EDGE, and Dynamic Discs.
Everyone needs to check in inside the building. Also, the PDGA is requiring a signed waiver stating we acknowledge the increased risk of COVID-19 by playing in this tournament. Since you all signed up online, you've already signed that waiver.
Speaking of COVID-19, please maintain social distancing at all times before, during, and after the tournament. During check-in, please form three lines, and keep at least 6 feet apart in those lines. Three people at a time will be allowed to check in. There will be water stations on the course, and hand sanitizer at each water station. Please use the sanitizer before touching the water jugs, and do not open the lids. After the tournament, amateur players receiving a payout will need to form three lines, as three people will be allowed in the trailer at any one time.
Round 1 tees off at 10. Scores for the tournament need to be kept on the PDGA website. Player course and hole assignments will be posted by the time registration closes Friday night at https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/46928. The link to online scoring is https://pdga.com/score/. The access code is DRM. Please have one person only record the card scores to pdga.com. DGM staff will receive them at tournament central. When round one is finished, lunch will be on your own. Round 2 will start at 2. Player course and round assignments will once again be posted to the PDGA event page, and scores should be kept on pdga.com.
All disc golfers please remember: This park is alcohol-free and smoke-free. No smoking of any type is permitted during this tournament.
Rules for the courses are listed below. Unbranded CTP is hole 8. Trilogy-only CTP is hole 9. If there is any question about any throws or lies, try to make a group decision. If no decision can be made, play a provisional. When possible, consult with the course TD to determine the correct answer.
