You may still register here: https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournament/Patriot_s_Gold_and_Silver_presents_The_5th_Annual_Ozarks_Dam_Open_2024
Doubles is from 2:00- 5:00 Friday on the Temp Course. Cannonball James Roberts will be running it.
Welcome to the Ozarks Dam Open! As always, we’d like to start off by thanking our title sponsors: Liberty Utilities for the financial support, the bonus course and always keeping their course well manicured (Hats off to Randy Richardson the Plant Manager). We also appreciate the continued support from Patriot's Gold & Silver. Jeff Ford and his family continue to help make the tours a success!
This year we have 19 Hole Sponsors courtesy of Brad Philpott’s recruiting skills! A big thanks to Cannonball James Roberts for designing the signs as well. Here are our sponsors: Green Line K9, The Guy Handyman LLC, Bailey’s Property Maintenance, Shirley’s Kitchen, Apex Lawn Services, Swan Valley Brew Co. & Flea Market, Forsyth Welding, Veterans Memorial Museum, Finish Line Performance Service, Taney County Fitness, Lee Croft LLC, Mathenia Real Estate, Cutting Edge Solutions LLC, Branson Cell Phone Repair, Corcoran Family, Grid North Drone Photography LLC, Mountain William Pizza, Snack Shack, & Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church
We’d also like to thank the tour sponsors this year: Patriots Gold & Silver, Elephant & Castle Fine Arms, Kinney Amusement, Dynamic Discs, Innova Champion Discs, Fossa Disc Golf, Prodigy Discs, Creator Designs, MVP/Axiom Discs, Millennium Golf Discs, Discmania, 8Up, Greazy Dyes, Discs Unlimited, Swing Right Golf, Intuitive Body Works & Massage and Sticky Dyes.
Thanks to all who loaned us baskets for the temp course: Craig Goldsberry, Eddie Uhlman, Scott Kisling (Swing Right Golf), Andre Anderson, Bob Gasman , and Rick Gilmore (who also loaned me the trailer to haul them).
There is currently $515 in the current Reflection Tour roll over Ace Pot. It is worth mentioning that there are at least 9 legit Ace opportunities on the Ozark Dam course alone. The Ace Pot is a cash only contest and is completed separately from your entry. You must put your money in the Ace Pot bag and put your full name on it. Best of Luck.
Everyone needs to check in at the building closest to Hole 10’s tee off. Round 1 tees off at 9. Scores for this tournament will be kept online. The official scorekeeping will be at pdga.com/score. The code is ODO. Round 1 player course and hole assignments will be posted shortly after registration closes Friday night at https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/73522.
There will be two pools and will e split between the two courses. Please be aware that there is a good chance that the pool playing the permanent dam course may finish before the other pool. This may cause this pool to start the 2nd round before the pool playing the temp course. Please watch for the start times for your pool on the pdga tournament website.
On hole 17 please be careful walking along the road as there is often traffic on this road. Remember there is a 3 minute rule when looking for a disc once the entire group is looking for it. Note that there is a drop zone for a lost disc on the long hole 23.
The staff will automatically receive the scores at tournament central. Please remember that all players must keep score. After the first round, we will break for lunch. Round 2 SHOULD start around 1:00, but may change based on last card. There will be an announcement by DGM staff, and round 2 assignments will be posted on the PDGA page.
Rules for the courses are listed below. All CTP’s will be on the Dam course: Unbranded CTP is hole 9, Full Turn-only CTP is hole 10, Prodigy-only CTP is hole 13. MVP-only CTP is hole 18 If there is any question about any throws or lies, try to make a group decision. If no decision can be made, play a provisional. When possible, consult with the course TD to determine the correct answer.
